Compression and Expansion

This series of oil paintings invites the viewer into a proprioceptive energy exchange with natural phenomena. Drawing on the compression and expansion of energy in the natural world via geological and botanical lexicons, these paintings create a meta-language for describing the somatic and embodied experience of painting.
